Being an example of truly international intellectual hub, both motivating and challenging, the NEC turned to be a success story of bridging Western and Eastern academia. It is a fascinating place for someone searching for opportunity to be fully focused on the research, to get devoted to weekly interdisciplinary discussions and to obtain profound and sometimes unexpected feedback that would lead you to new inquiries and a vision from a new angle.

My personal experience of being a Pontica Magna Fellow was rewardable both professionally and personally. Being a part of the NEC stimulating and supportive community, I did not only initiate new research projects but also cemented real friendship with people NEC brought together in 2015/2016 in a vibrant and diverse city of Bucharest.
