Street Art in the Symbolic Landscape of Ukrainian Cities: Memorializing the Russian-Ukrainian War

Street artists have transformed Ukraine’s urban environments into canvases of remembrance, effectively documenting the war’s history. The aim of this project is to explore the narratives and symbols embedded in these visual works, which reveal the layered dimensions of Russian aggression and its profound impact on Ukrainian society. By interpreting selected visual artifacts, the research highlights the intrinsic link between art and the formation of collective wartime memory.
