Research project: Harmonisation of Ukrainian Intellectual Property Legislation with the Legislation of the European Union in the field of Compulsory Licensing and Government Use of Medical Products

The project aims to research the scientific literature and practice of the EU in patent law in the field of compulsory licences (CL) and government use (GU) of medical products from the perspective of Ukrainian membership in the EU. Studying the tendencies in developing EU legislation in CL and GU in healthcare is essential. At the same time, Ukraine should also consider the provisions of Article 73 ‘Security Exceptions’ of the TRIPS Agreement, as grounds for IP waivers in healthcare.
