The project theorises epistemic conflict as a constitutive dimension of recent political mobilisation. Using pandemic-related protests in Poland as an analytical lens, it examines how distrust in science and expertise becomes a resource for negotiating authority, civic legitimacy and participation. By analysing protesters’ narratives and protest-related epistemic artefacts, the project sheds light on broader dynamics of epistemic and civic contestation beyond the pandemic and the Polish case.
