Rethinking the Berestove Murals: A Gateway to Eastern and Western Europe in the Making of Post-Byzantine Ukraine (1570–1650)
A unique 1640s Post-Byzantine monumental ensemble in Kyiv’s Church of the Savior at Berestove is now at risk due to war. Ukrainian Post-Byzantine art lacks clear international terminology and methodology. The project analyzes this heritage using the materials from the Romanian Academy Library. The outcome is an open-access monographic catalog (40,000–50,000 words).
