The goal of the project is to find common theoretical elements between two of the most renown (and opposing) economists in the field of economic cycle theory. Such elements will be used to elaborate a wider view regarding business fluctuation in which Keynesian and Hayekian crises would be particular instances of a more general theory. By employing economics alongside political theory, coherent policy recommendations will be formulated regarding the prevention of economic depressions.
