This project investigates Turkish and Armenian communists from Türkiye in Cold War Eastern Europe, focusing on transnational networks linking Leipzig, Sofia, and Bucharest. Using archives in Bulgaria, Romania, and Germany, it examines their press, radio, and literary production across genres to show how they forged cross-border cultural-political ties, navigated Cold War constraints, and represented exile, transnationalism, and visions of communist utopia.
