Right-wing populism has been on the rise in Europe, with the help of social media, many parties gaining increasing power both in the European Parliament and at the national level. Romania has been considered an outlier in the region, until the legislative elections of 2020 when the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) gained seats in Parliament. The current research proposal aims to study the ideological positioning of AUR and how they used social media to further their agenda.
