Short abstract:
This webinar assembles leading world scholars to present cutting-edge research on the Kosovo War (1998-1999), examining the conflict through multiple analytical lenses. The event features five distinguished speakers who will share findings from their recent publications and ongoing research projects.
The presentations will explore key dimensions of the conflict, including the role of Western diplomatic and military intervention, shifting perceptions of the crisis among international actors, and the complex dynamics between the West and Russia during this pivotal moment in post-Cold War European security. Speakers will address how international responses evolved throughout the crisis, the politics of humanitarian intervention, and the broader implications for European security architecture.
Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, fostering scholarly dialogue on this significant chapter in Balkan and European history. The webinar adopts a hybrid format, with guest speakers participating online while the organizer hosts from the NEC events room.
