This conference is organized by the Center for Governance and Culture in Europe (GCE-HSG) and the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia (CAS).

 

This report authored by Ana Otilia Nuţu and Sorin Ioniță (NEC alumnus) from Expert Forum seeks to assess the role of civil society in driving these long-term changes and, crucially, its capacity to prevent Romania from democratic backsliding.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews in early September. Final decision to be confirmed by early October 2025.

Professor Valentina Sandu-Dediu, Rector of New Europe College, has been recently appointed as a member of the International Advisory Board of the College of Fellows at University of Tübingen.
