In 2006 the MEG (Museé d’Ethnographie de Genève) began to collect everyday objects remaining from the Soviet era. The aim was to save a material culture, which has allegedly started to disappear since the fall of the Iron Curtain.

For her presentation at the NEC, Alexandra Schüssler proposes to discuss her concept for an exhibition of this collection that will be opening at the MEG on the 1^st of October, 2009.
